Yves Sanglante

"aesthetically and morally bankrupt"
- THE TELEGRAPH

🅐
Yves is not held back by medium and makes work across collage, noise, sculpture, print and textile. He approaches art as both a craft and conceptual practice and uses it as an alternative mode of communication, with an often camp and macabre humour. He co-founded sex worker archive 'Objects of Desire' and has collaboratively curated four exhibitions to date. In London (2016) and Berlin (2018), exhibitions he worked on related to the Objects of Desire archive. From 2019-2021, he worked alongside Elio Sea co-curating 'Decriminalised Futures', a 2021 group show at the ICA London on the sex worker rights movement. For the past few months was in a curatorial collective working on the history of sex work in Berlin for an exhibition which is currently showing at the Schwules Museum, Berlin from May-Dec 2024 - 'With Legs Wide Open'.
